la multi ani, mama! iti multumesc pentru ca m-ai invatat optimismul, mi-ai educat sensibilitatea, m-ai invatat omenia si mi-ai cultivat naravurile cu multa discretie si gingasie.

tomorrow, orthodox christians believers around the world celebrated easter (the most important day in the orthodox calendar)- a day for quiet reflection. candles which illuminated church arrived from jrusalem, where the fire – the light of christ – appear miraculously each year on the eve of ester celebrations. the darkness, symbolizing death, is pierced, destroyed by hundreds of lighted candles, and by the exuberant chanting of “christ is risen from the dead! by his death he conquered death, and to those in the tombs he has bestowed life!”
the light is a symbol that literally connects over 200 million othodox believers worldwide. in romania easter sunday is a joyous occasion for all orthodox believers when they give each other hand painted eggs. 40 days from now on christians will continue to greet one another with the words: “christ is risen! truly, he is risen!”

nu stiu cum se face, dar de fiecare data cand nimeresc in acelasi spatiu cu trupa BYRON, ceva pozitiv se schimba in viata mea. o coincidenta bizara, dar placuta, ce n-are legatura cu trupa in sine, desi, de piatra sa fii, si tot n-ai cum sa nu reactionezi in vreun fel la muzica lor. malitiosii ar spune cum ca: norocul meu este ca nu cer cine stie ce de la viata si ca ma multumesc cu atat cat mi se cuvine. treburi d’astea. se prea poate, sa aiba si ei partea lor de dreptate, insa, nu intru totul. oricum, pare-se ca-mi prieste interactiunea cu ei. si-apoi, pana si-n momentele mele de optimism radical, nu m-am situat in boxa exaltatilor sau a miorlaitilor de conjuctura. admit, imi place byron si pentru profesionalismul lor. indiscutabil, maine, dincolo de leneveala si dormitarea melancolica, tipica unei zile de sambata, o sa provoc destinu’ sa-mi deschida usita catre raionul cu delicatese. (ora 22.00, in teatru 74, bastionul macelarilor, cetate, tirgu-mures).

casa de cultura a studentilor din targu-mures organizeaza in perioada 23-25 aprilie prima editie a FESTIVALULUI INTERNATIONAL STUDENTESC DE JAZZ. festivalul se adreseaza vocalistilor si trupelor care au calitatea de student la una dintre unitatile de invatamant acreditate de mec si vocalistilor sau trupelor care au in componenta studenti din strainatate. agenda festivalului cuprinde concertele artistilor: MIRCEA TIBERIAN TRIO, LUIZA ZAN & EDDIE NEUEMANN, JIMI CSERKESZ, CSIKOS TRIO, SWING IN TRAIN, un concurs de interpretare. juriul este format din profesorul mircea tiberian, bateristul john betsch din SUA, muzicologul si jazz-promoterul alexandru sipa, luiza zan, castigatoare a premiului pentru cea mai buna vocalista la festivalul de jazz de la montreux, daniela nicolae pianist de jazz, realizator al emisiunii “colectia de jazz” de la radio romania muzical si imre beatrix leila, cantareata de jazz si lector la facultatea de jazz “richard oshanitzky” din cadrul universitatii tibiscus.

THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT JAZZ FESTIVAL (1st edition, 23-25 april 2009) is addressed to all the vocal performers and bands which have the quality of being student at one of the educational establishments accredited by the ministry of education and research and to the vocal performers or bands which have in their composition students from abroad.the contest will take place in one or two stages, according to the number of participants and will consist of the performance of a recital of maximum 25 minutes in front of the jury and of the public.the bands and the vocal performers declared winners will perform after the conclusion of the contest brief recitals at the laureates award gala. the repertory for the contest can be freely chosen.
the awards will be granted by a jury which will be composed of:
mr. MIRCEA TIBERIAN, professor and jazz piano-player
mr.ALEXANDRU SIPA– jazz critic and promoter
mrs. LUIZA ZAN – jazz vocal performer, winner at montreaux jazz festival
mrs. DANIELA NICOLAE – jazz piano-player and producer of the radio show “the jazz collection” at radio romania muzical
mr.JOHN BETSCH (USA) and CHRIS DAHLGREN(USA)
a representative of richard oschanitzky jazz faculty within tibiscus university from timisoara.
